Establishing the foundation

April 30, 2024, we proudly marked the formal establishment of the porAymara Foundation, a significant milestone achieved after 658 days—equivalent to 1 year, 9 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days—since the international institutional child abduction of our L.A.W..

It started with ABCinLAW Free Children

This foundation was born out of the urgent need to advocate for his children's rights and to combat the injustices perpetrated by Spanish and Dutch child protection agencies who illagaly kidnapped L.A.W. Through our platform, ABCinLAW Free Children, we aim to share our story with the world, empowering families and enforcing the conventions and legal instruments designed to protect children. Together, we strive to create a safer environment for every child.

Why we need an foundation?

The establishment of the porAymara Foundation was crucial for our journey to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and for the fieldwork Joanna has dedicated years to, aimed at freeing children worldwide. Her strength lies in addressing international child abductions, an issue closely mirrored in our own experience—where a Dutch child was unlawfully taken in Spain, highlighting illegal actions by the Spanish authorities and child endangerment. Forming a foundation not only lends credibility to our cause but also allows us to support other families facing similar challenges. With Joanna’s expertise and the exceptional investigative skills of journalist Leonor, we are committed to enforcing children's rights and advocating for robust legal protections.

A special moment

Signing the official documents to establish the porAymara Foundation marks a significant milestone in our mission to support Joanna's vital work. As a newly formed foundation, we are now poised to inform families about their rights, foster collaborative partnerships, and provide essential practical assistance. While establishing a robust framework will require considerable effort, our roles are clearly defined: Linda will manage the website, communications and 1-on-1 coaching with families to get through the process when a child is abducted, Louis will oversee the accounting, Joanna will lead fieldwork, and Leonor will handle publications. Together, we are committed to enforcing children's rights and implementing vital legal protections.

Our Mission & Vision

At porAymara Foundation, we are dedicated to sharing vital knowledge about children's rights and human rights, emphasizing that many are unaware of their entitlements. Knowledge is power, and understanding your rights empowers you to stand firm against misleading practices by institutions. Unfortunately, child protection can often resemble a profit-driven model, with placements generating significant income—between €50,000 to €75,000 for a single removal, and up to €10,000 for institutional care. With the Dutch child protection agency, RVDK, under pressure to meet quotas in supervision and removals, this issue is pervasive across Europe. Stay informed and aware of the realities affecting families today.

We want to stabilizing communities, fostering collaborative partnerships and create connection in togetherness with other foundations, legal people, organisations or individuals who are working from the heart with the right intensions. We create a life for all children to live in freedom. We do not fight against the system, we expose them.
